This official Riva Aquarama Special model boat is made from high-quality wood (beech wood) and fittings (chrome brass) by our jewellers. Real padding.
In order to obtain a perfectly smooth hull and deck, 10 coats of varnish are applied, crossed with progressively finer levels of sanding. The last phase consists of applying several coats of gloss varnish to create a “mirror effect” characteristic of these boats.

The Aquarama, Carlo Riva's most famous designs, has become more than just a boat over time. As the undisputed flagship of the series, it is hailed as a nautical legend in its own right, a superlative in beauty, craftsmanship and performance rarely surpassed both on and off the water. Perhaps securing its mythical status, its evocative name derives in part from the widescreen Cinerama film format popular in the early 1960s, reflected by the boat's wide windshield.
Originally, the Aquarama was a direct descendant of the Tritone, on whose hull it was based. First built in 1962, it incorporates the Tritone Aperto's open sunbathing area with several innovations including separate front seats and a central non-slip gangway allowing easier access to the water aft. Like the Tritone, she was always a twin engine boat, although trim levels varied widely, from 185 hp each to 350 hp in the Aquarama Special.
